Changes to National Minimum Wage

With effect from 1st October 2015 the UK's National Minimum Wage increases from £6.50 to £6.70 per hour for workers aged 21 and over.
The UK's National Minimum Wage rates for workers aged 18 to 20 will be £5.30; £3.87 for 16- to 17-year-olds above school leaving age; and £3.30 for apprentices under 19 years or
19 years and over who are in the first year of an apprenticeship. These rates will also apply with effect from 1st October 2015.
The new compulsory National Living Wage announced by the Chancellor in the Summer 2015 is due to be implemented in April 2016.
